For me it's no problem to show up in Budapest for the New Year's Eve hehe...:)
BUT you have to promise me, that once (at least once of course...) you will come also at summer, because it's the best at summer:)
The cheap aircompanies that coming to Hungary are the followings:

if you arrive to the Balaton (SOB) Airport, you can catch the bus that transfer you to Budapest, 2.5 hours trip, 7300 HUF=30 euros cost the both way ticket www.fly-car.hu
www.malev.hu is the Hungarian Airlines, not so cheap but it has the flights from everywhere!
From Brno and Bratislava i can recommend the bus, Student Agency is THE BEST:))
(or hitch-hike...)
From Ljubljana i think the train can be also possible (but a little bit long), www.elvira.hu

guy from Arhus who went to the biggest parties in Odense :-P.
Anyway, i will go to Budapest for the New Year .. and i litle bit more,jeje.

Booked. ))))
I will fly 27 December to Frankfurt. I will spend the night there and catch
the fly to Budapest where I arrive at 9 am.
My return is on 7 of January and it's the same track also with a sleep in
Frankfurt airport.
Now let's enjoy Christmas time and wait for the best new year eve of ever !
